1. Usage scenarios
Traffic Flow:
If it is an area with a large traffic flow and heavy vehicles such as urban arterial roads, highways, and airport runways, a manhole cover with high bearing capacity should be selected, such as ductile iron manhole cover, and the bearing capacity level should reach D400 or even E600. These areas have extremely high requirements for the compressive and impact resistance of the manhole cover to ensure that it will not be damaged and deformed under frequent vehicle crushing, and ensure traffic safety.
For roads and small parking lots in residential areas, where vehicle traffic is dominated by small cars and relatively small bearing pressure, B125 manhole covers can usually meet the needs, and some lower load-bearing grade styles such as composite manhole covers or ductile iron manhole covers can be selected.
In areas that are only accessible to pedestrians or bicycles, such as sidewalks, pedestrian streets, etc., A15 manhole covers are sufficient, and priority can be given to composite manhole covers with better appearance and light weight, which can not only meet the basic protection needs, but also beautify the environment to a certain extent.

Environmental conditions:
In corrosion-prone environments such as coastal areas or around chemical enterprises, manhole covers with strong corrosion resistance should be preferred. The composite manhole cover has the advantage of natural corrosion resistance, is not easy to rust, and can better adapt to this kind of highly corrosive environment. Even if you choose a manhole cover made of metal, such as ductile iron manhole cover, you need to ensure that it has undergone good anti-corrosion treatment, such as galvanizing, painting and other processes.
In areas with special appearance requirements, such as parks, scenic spots, etc., composite manhole covers can be better integrated with the surrounding environment with their diverse appearance design and customizable features, creating a beautiful and harmonious atmosphere.
2.The carrying capacity requirements
Different places have different levels of requirements for the bearing capacity of manhole covers, and it is necessary to choose the appropriate grade of manhole covers according to the actual pressure that may be withheld. As mentioned above, the common carrying capacity classes are A15, B125, C250, D400, E600, etc., and it is necessary to accurately evaluate the traffic conditions at the place of use, whether there are heavy objects parked or moving, and other factors to determine the corresponding bearing class.
