A parks contractor in Nairobi ordered 150 pcs picnic tables from KSHD last month for a municipal park renovation project. The order was placed by a procurement officer named David Mwangi, who had been looking for furniture that could handle the region's intense UV exposure and heavy rainy seasons.

David had previously tried wooden tables. They cracked, splintered, and needed constant replacement. He wanted something that would last and require zero maintenance.

He chose our galvanized steel frames with black powder coating. The black finish hides dirt and blends well with the park's natural surroundings. For the seating and tabletop, he selected WPC (wood-plastic composite) slats. They don't rot, don't splinter, and won't fade under the African sun.

Before placing the bulk order, David requested one sample table. He tested it in the park for six weeks, exposing it to daily use and unpredictable weather. The steel frame didn't rust, and the WPC boards stayed perfectly level.

The order includes standard 6-foot tables with surface-mount base plates. We reinforced the packaging with wooden crates to protect the black powder coating during the long sea freight to Mombasa.

The containers are scheduled to leave our factory next week. David told us that if the tables hold up well, he plans to use KSHD for two more park projects later this year.
