Luis Hernández doesn't write purchase orders from a desk. He writes them from a pickup truck, parked next to a bin that's falling apart.
That's how he found us. One of his crew sent a photo of a KSHD bin they'd seen at a bus terminal in Guadalajara – straight walls, grey-green color, legs still straight after two years. Luis called the number on the side.
He wanted 460 units. But first, two samples. He put one outside a tortilla shop in Tlalpan. The other near a public fountain in Coyoacán. For three months, he checked on them every time he drove by. Kids kicked them. Vendors leaned on them. Rain left water spots but no rust.
Last week, he called again. "They look the same as day one. Send the rest. That color – RAL7011, right? Match it exactly."
The bin is straight-walled, 460mm long, 370mm wide, 855mm high. Body is 500mm tall, four steel legs (ø40mm) lift it 750mm off the ground. Hot-dip galvanized with a thick zinc coat, then powder-coated in RAL7011. Not cheap. But Luis said he's tired of replacing bins every year.
The shipment left our workshop this morning. Luis doesn't know yet, but we threw in two extra bins – no charge. One for the tortilla shop owner. One for the guys who clean the fountain.
We kept 60 more in stock. Same spec. Same color. Anyone else wants to try one, just ask.
